Okay here’s something that is 100% okay to laugh at, and I’ve posted it before but it’s still funny to me

A breakdown of the events in this video

1. Evanescence is introduced as the next live act at the Billboard Awards
2. Amy Lee starts playing My Immortal with a small string section backing her up
3. It is a generally boring, whiny and slightly atonal affair
4. Then the bridge comes and the rest of the band walks on stage
5. They proceed to launch into the final chorus
6. With all of their instruments tuned wrong
7. The sound techs valiantly attempt to battle this error
8. While the band continues to jump around the stage like this was intentional
9. And as Amy Lee finishes the song, sheepishly grins and then apologizes before the broadcast cuts to commercial
10. You can’t help but suspect that, on the rest of the band’s part, it was intentional

I mean I’ve read before about how they all hate her and how this band is essentially a revolving door for everyone around her but oh man this video is a trainwreck

It sounds like one of those shred videos but I swear this is unaltered, I remember watching the broadcast with my mouth hanging open

I saw Evanescence live once and really, they didn’t sound any better then.  The bass was turned up so loud and all the instruments were so out of tune that you couldn’t hear anything but a warbling noise for their whole set.  Needless to say I was glad I didn’t pay to see them.
